These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Coqudo mobile application (“Coqudo” or “the App”), owned and operated by Methodia S.r.l.s. By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using Coqudo immediately.
Coqudo is a peer-to-peer (P2P) platform that enables users to lend and rent physical items to each other. Methodia S.r.l.s. provides only the digital marketplace: listings, payments, messaging, and interactions occur exclusively between users.
All agreements relating to item lending or renting are solely between users. Methodia is not a party to those agreements.
Coqudo may only be used by individuals aged 18 or older. Renting and lending items through the App means entering into agreements with other people and paying for them, and that requires legal capacity.
If we become aware that an account belongs to someone under 18, we close it.
The App is available worldwide.
Coqudo charges a service fee on both sides of every rental:
All fees shown in the App include VAT. Before you confirm a rental, the App shows the total you will pay; before you accept a request, it shows the amount you will receive.
All payments are processed securely through our third-party provider:
Methodia does not store or process full credit card or banking information. Chargebacks and disputes over a payment are handled through Stripe. Refunds owed because a rental is cancelled follow section 6.3.
A rental that has already been paid can still be cancelled until pick-up, with the consequences described in section 6.3. After pick-up it cannot be cancelled: it ends with the return of the item. Any other matter between users must be resolved privately or through the payment provider's dispute system.
Some rentals require a security deposit. The deposit is not a payment: it is a hold placed on your card, and no money leaves your account unless the item is damaged or not returned.
The amount held is the deposit shown for the rental plus a damage handling fee. The App shows you both amounts, and the total, before you authorise the hold.
After the return, the person who lent the item can report damage. If they confirm that everything is in order, or do not report damage within a short window after the return (currently 2 hours), the hold is released automatically. While a claim is open, the hold stays in place until it is settled.
The handling fee covers the cost of handling the claim and the payment processing cost of collecting it. It is a fixed amount that does not grow with the size of the damage, and it is charged only when a claim is upheld. Like all fees shown in the App, it includes VAT.

Users accept full responsibility for their interactions and transactions. Methodia does not mediate disputes between users.
Coqudo has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. You can report any user, listing, rental or message from within the app, and you can block another user so that they can no longer contact you.
Reports are reviewed and acted upon within 7 days. Content found to be in breach of these Terms is removed, and the accounts responsible may be suspended or permanently banned. Content you report is hidden from you straight away, before it is reviewed.

Coqudo provides the App “AS IS” without warranties of any kind. Direct or indirect damages resulting from app usage or user interactions are not the responsibility of Methodia.
Sending a request does not hold anything. Dates are held when the owner accepts the request: from that moment those days are no longer available to anyone else for that item.
The renter then has 24 hours to pay, and never past the end of the first day of the rental. If payment does not arrive within that window the booking expires on its own: the dates go back on the market, both parties are notified, and no money is charged. An expired booking is not a cancellation — nobody decided anything, the time simply ran out — and it carries no cost, no warning and no consequence for either party. The renter is free to ask again.
A rental can last at most 5 days, and can start from today onwards.
Owners may make days unavailable, or pause a listing entirely, at any time. Days that are already booked cannot be made unavailable this way: the only way out of a booking that has been accepted is to cancel it, with the consequences described below. Pausing a listing removes it from search and stops new requests; rentals already booked stand and are carried out.
A rental can be cancelled up until pick-up. After pick-up it cannot be cancelled: it ends with the return of the item.
The cost of a cancellation falls on whoever cancels, and whoever suffers it is made whole.
Before confirming a cancellation, the app shows the exact amounts for that specific rental: what comes back, what is withheld, and why. Those figures come from the same calculation that then moves the money.
Outside the cases above, Coqudo does not offer refunds, and any further refund eligibility depends on the policies of the payment provider.
You can delete your account at any time from within the app, under Account > Manage account. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone: you lose access to your listings, your rental history and your conversations.
Deleting your account does not erase every trace of it. Your identity is removed, but transaction records are kept for the period required by law, and your messages remain with the people who received them. What is kept, and for how long, is set out in section 4 of our Privacy Policy.
If a report concerning you is outstanding when you delete your account, the account is closed just the same, but the information identifying you is not erased right away: for 30 days if the report has only been received and not yet reviewed, and for 5 years if it has been reviewed and upheld. After that, it is erased like anyone else's.
You cannot delete your account while you have rentals in progress, because the other party is relying on you to complete them. The app will tell you how many are open and take you to them. Once they are completed or cancelled, deletion goes through.
Your listings are withdrawn automatically: you do not need to remove them one by one.
Methodia may suspend or permanently ban users who violate these Terms or behave inappropriately. A banned user may not open a new account, including by deleting the banned one and registering again with the same email address.
